Knowing about your individual risk of thrombosis

Quality Circle Thrombosis - Pulmonary Embolism

Foundation

On the July 8th 2009 the Quality Circle Thrombosis - Pulmonary Embolism has been founded in Bayreuth by Dr. Ulrich Pachmann, Doctor of Transfusion Medicine.

Objectives

We want to develop a systematic procedure proven effective for the measureable prevention of thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. We want to activate the “keeping in mind”, that is to consider in the course of treatment the possibility of thrombosis and to clarify, when indicated, the risk of thrombosis.

We want to improve the cooperation between doctors and hospitals. We want to raise awareness among physicians as well as the general public of issues like thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

Implementation

The Quality Circle should be platform for anyone interested in the exchange of information and knowledge.

Current topics are presented and discussed. This way knowledge of thromboses and pulmonary embolisms can be broadened.

Quality Circle

The Quality Circle meets every third Wednesday in the quarter.

Those interested are welcome at any time.

Registrations can be made by telephone at +49 (0) 921 850 200 or +49 (0)921 793 08 42.
